Terms of Use

1. The Service

The Service is an online study café used in a web browser. It offers virtual study spaces, a focus timer, study records, music, chat and study groups. It is not a physical café.

Entering the main study rooms is free. Some dedicated spaces may have conditions based on groups or rankings.

2. Use and accounts

• You can use the Service as a guest or sign in with a Google or Kakao account.
• You are responsible for the accounts and devices you sign in with. Do not use someone else's account or pretend to be someone else.
• If you are a minor, please use the Service with a parent or guardian's consent.
• To delete your account or study records, email hello@studyatcafe.com.

3. Prohibited conduct

You must not:

• Abuse, harass, threaten or post hateful content toward other users
• Post advertising or spam, flood chats, or push people to outside sites
• Post sexual content, illegal material or content that infringes other people's rights
• Collect or publish other people's personal information
• Hack the Service, access it excessively with automated tools, or disrupt its normal operation
• Do anything else that breaks the law or these terms

4. User content

• Chats, posts, nicknames, goals, notes and other content you create remain yours, and you are responsible for them.
• The Service uses this content only as needed to display it and run the Service.
• Content that breaks these terms or is reported may be hidden or removed without notice.

5. Restrictions

If you break these terms, we may warn you, restrict features such as chat or study groups, or restrict your use of the Service. If you disagree with a restriction, email hello@studyatcafe.com.

6. Third-party services

When you use connected services such as Google or Kakao sign-in, YouTube or Spotify, their own terms and policies also apply. Spotify playback control may require Spotify Premium.

7. Changes and interruptions

We may add or change features, and may suspend or end all or part of the Service for maintenance, outages or operational reasons. Where possible, we announce important changes in the Service in advance.

8. Limitation of liability

• The Service is provided as is. We do not guarantee it will always be available or free of errors.
• Network problems or outages may cause some study records not to be saved. Save important records separately as PNG or PDF.
• To the extent permitted by law, the Service is not responsible for disputes between users or problems caused by third-party services.

9. Privacy

How we collect and use personal information is explained in our Privacy policy.

10. Changes to these terms

When we change these terms, we post the changes and the effective date on this page. If you keep using the Service after a change, you agree to the updated terms.
